Secure data destruction, certified.

Hard drive shredding, certified data erasure, and full chain-of-custody documentation. Every project closes with a Certificate of Data Destruction — built for HIPAA, SOX, and R2v3 compliance.

Overview

Two methods. One outcome: data that can never be recovered.

Whether you need media erased for redeployment or physically destroyed for end-of-life disposal — we provide both, with the documentation auditors require.

Every data-bearing device is logged on intake (serial number, condition, source), processed via the agreed method, and reported on completion. You receive a Certificate of Data Destruction listing every serial number — auditable evidence for HIPAA, SOX, GLBA, and PCI-DSS reviews.

For especially sensitive media, we offer witnessed destruction either onsite at your facility (using mobile shredding equipment) or with live video at our R2v3 facility.

Process

Every drive, every step, documented.

01

Intake & Logging

Each device scanned, photographed, and recorded by serial number on arrival.

02

Method Execution

Erasure, shredding, or degaussing per the scope agreed during evaluation.

03

Verification

Erased drives verified with read-back testing. Shredded media confirmed by visual inspection.

04

Certification

Per-serial Certificate of Data Destruction issued with full audit trail.

What you get

Built for compliance reviews.

Certificate of Data Destruction

Per-serial-number documentation listing method used, technician, date, and verification status. Audit-ready format.

HIPAA & SOX Aligned

Documentation and process meet healthcare and financial-services regulatory expectations. R2v3 certified facility.

Same-week Turnaround

Standard processing within 5 business days of intake. Rush options available for time-sensitive compliance windows.

// R2v3 Certified Facility

The standard the industry trusts.

R2v3 (Responsible Recycling, version 3) is the most widely adopted certification standard for electronics recyclers worldwide. It mandates documented data security, environmental management, worker health and safety, and downstream chain-of-custody — all of which our facility maintains and demonstrates through annual third-party audits.

Common questions

FAQ — data destruction.

Is software erasure really as secure as shredding?
For modern drives, NIST 800-88 compliant erasure is functionally equivalent to physical destruction — the data is unrecoverable by any known means. We recommend erasure when drives still have remarketing value, and shredding when devices are at true end-of-life or when policy requires physical destruction.
Can you do this onsite at our facility?
Yes. We have mobile shredding capability for sensitive workloads. We arrive with a truck-mounted shredder and process drives in your parking lot or loading dock with your security team observing.
Does the Certificate of Data Destruction satisfy HIPAA audits?
Yes. Our certificates document method, date, technician, and serial-number audit trail per HIPAA's documentation requirements. Many of our healthcare clients reference them directly in their compliance reviews.
What types of media can you destroy?
All standard data-bearing media: HDDs, SSDs, NVMe, tape, optical media, USB drives, mobile devices (phones, tablets), and proprietary storage devices. For uncommon media, ask — we likely handle it.
How do you handle encrypted drives?
Encryption alone doesn't satisfy most compliance frameworks for end-of-life disposal — keys can be compromised, encryption can be broken in the future. We process encrypted drives the same as unencrypted: erasure or shredding, with full documentation.
